Contact made
On Nov. 30 I made a short contact with the ISS at 16:05 EST, I talked with Mike Fincke. Today Dec. 1st I heard but could not copy sstv from ARISS
SSTV - Black or purple screen
Seems a lot of folks are confused between when the VC-H1 batteries might be running low. If the screen is black, then it is most likely that the image was shot when the ISS was past the terminator (dark side of the Earth). If the image has a distinct purple hue to it then the batteries are low enough that the video portion of the unit cannot capture an image but the rest of the unit's capabilities are still intact.
If the batteries die after the crew goes to sleep, it will likely be purple until the unit is completely drained and we won't see anything until they replace them after they wake up. If we get lucky, and they replace them just before calling it a night, then we should see about 8 more hours of images.

ISS Online
Hello all,
We put on the blog spacesat.blogspot.com ( portuguese br ), audio and telemetry
of some satellites when they are on the grid locator GI84ov. Initially we are providing
the frequency of the International Space Station (145.800 MHz/ 145.825 MHz), and
soon made available audio and telemetries of other satellites.

Hi,
On 10/21/08, 11:07UTC I was fortunate enough to have a brief but exciting QSO with Richard Garriott; however the unfortunate side was, no recording! Is their anyone out there that may have the recording in a digitial file, thank you.

What frequencies/times might we hear the shuttle and the ISS?
The shuttle is due to dock with it I think on the 3rd day of the mission - Sun, or Mon, I make that - I assume the shuttle and the ISS will be in comms contact during docking.
Do they use high enough power for us to hear them?

International Space Station : The Cataclysm
I'm an avid reader and I've just finished reading a thriller novel that's set on the station. The writer must have really done his research because not only is it well told but the info about the station is highly detailed. Check it out at www.trafford.com/08-0378 It's called "International Space Station The cataclysm". Does anyone know of other thrillers set on the station?
