Voice last week

Has someone been able to contact ISS via voice in the last week ? I just hear the cosmonauts Saturday speaking russian on 143.625 to the Third Science Festival in Moscow (my location is aprox near Russia). I use 145.200 for uplink and 145.800 for downlink.

Another question : my power supply for the transciever is not so powerful, so I have only 10W of power. Is that sufficient?

Thanks.

My son and I are going back to Kennedy Space Center this weeken for another tour.
The tours will be free this weekend. We are also going up to see the shuttle lift off in October.
Should be alot of fun.

Just need some help.

Sorry, but I'm still pretty new to all of this, but I really am doing my best to study everything that I can get a hold on about the ISS and how to do an Official Contact with them.

I've read the ARISS website, and I've gotten in touch with my country's ARISS/NASA representative (I live in Canada). So I have a good idea on how to follow the contact procedures/requirements.

Alright, so I'm on a really tight budget and I've only been able to buy the following equipment:

HyGain VB216-sat antenna, Yaesu G5500 rotor, nova and orbitron software for tracking, 250ft. of control cable, and my own homemade base stand. (these are all for my primary station).

145.825 ???

I am listing to a faint packet or aprs signal coming in right now at 6:32 EST.
These normally only last for several minutes then they are gone. I have been hearing them over the past several weeks?? Anyone have any ideas?? Sounds to me like either ISS or maybe another satalite?? I have no idea....

New Tracking System (finally)

All right guys, this is it.

I rewrote the tracking system. The other one was quite old and it needed a rewrite from scratch.
Its all build upon predict by John Magliacane. A lot of others copied the idea (including Amsat) but believe me this site was the first one that exposed John's program on the web.
Now, before you take a look at the ugly code, please consider that this is my first and only Javascript/AJAX/Google Maps attempt and that I am doing this after work, generally between 11PM and 2AM.
I still have to finish the job but I could not wait any longer to see it online.
Feel free to correct, propose new things and report bugs in this thread.
