Future Events
Totally new to this. Want to find a site, page whatever, that gives me the dates and times for upcoming events e.g. orbit re-boosts, swapping of the soyuz tma 12 to its new docking module etc. Anyone help?
Also, can't find an update on Peggy. Is this whole "not seen on camera thing" just people being old women?
Photos and audio file of Korean ARRIS contact.
Hello All,
Today I received photo's and an audio file
from Kim HL2JFM (tnx).
First Korean astronaut Yi So Yeon Lee answered -
questions (in the Korean language!) via the ISS ham
radio equipment when she was aboard ISS.

Ham Radio power down for 16S
The amateur radio system has been powered down in support of safety regulations related to the docking of the soyuz vehicle bringing the Expedition 17 prime crew to the ISS.

SkyWatch
On the NASA site there is an aid to finding the ISS as it goes over in the night sky. It has both tabular data and a sky picture called SkyWatch which shows a visual of the track of the ISS across the sky. (BTW SkyWatch is gotten by clicking on SkyTrack.) Of course this is old news to folks here.
I was going to explain it to my sister, but I am puzzled by one aspect of SkyWatch. When I am out looking at the sky, searching for the ISS I am remembering that the track drawn on the SkyWatch visual has two (sometimes 3) parts. One part is called acquisition and one is called sighting.
What in tarnation is the difference? When, where, what should my eyes be looking for? The acquisition track is in red and the sighting track is in yellow, but I'm really quite certain the ISS doesn't change colors from red to yellow to red as it flies over.

Equipment Suggestions
Hello everyone,
I'm a recent ham (VA3JUV) and my goal was one day to contact the ISS.
After some extensive research I came up with system:
Antenna - OSCAR Hy-gain VB216-SAT
Rotator - YAESU G-5500
Controller - ARS universal antenna controller
Tx/rx - no decision yet.
Can anyone confirm that this is a good setup for ISS contact b4 I go out and invest money on it?
Thank you
