New sats on 145.825
Bob Bruninga reported the following on AMSAT-BB:
"The two ANDE satellites (Castor and Pollux) will be deployed from the Space Shuttle now that it has separated from the ISS. Both satellites will be transmitting on 145.825 MHz. Castor will transmit telemetry every 30 seconds. Pollux every 33 seconds. Both are transmitting 1200 baud AX.25 packet Telemetry."
Guess folks will have to pay close attention when reporting ISS packet as it could be one of these satellites instead.

3 in orbit ISS/STS127/Soyuz Tueday night sightings
Greetings All,
Nice to read the reports being posted on the forum regarding the third space craft.
I've been checking the posted mission time-line that states that STS-127 is due to undock from the ISS Tuesday at 1:21EDT. The Soyuz-Progress 32P will dock with ISS on Wednesday at 7:11EDT.
This will be a great sight to see in the night sky on Tuesday night! (3 objects)
Hope to read follow-up sighting reports of from anywhere.
Good-Luck! de VE1WRG-Derek

IC-R7000 plus Diamond D-130-J
Hello there all,
I am new in listening to satellit.
One week ago I buy for ebay a receiver Icom R-7000, and also buy a new discone antenna model Diamond D-130-J, the coax cable is 75 feet LMR400.
My question is that I have possibilities of listening to the ISS and other satellites, also I have the program "Orbitron".
Many thanks to all and 73

Third object in orbit with ISS / STS127?
No, this is not a UFO sighting, but it is my first post!
I was viewing an ISS pass tonight with a couple friends when we noticed a third (in addition to the ISS / shuttle complex) object pass in precisely the same orbit. I checked my regular tracking site (heavens_above) and saw nothing. Then I noticed that the Russians launched a cargo vessel this morning.
Could I have seen this object pass in orbit? Whatever it was, it was a beautiful sight!
Vertical antenna
Hi. I am getting ready to upgrade from my homemade 2 meter Jpole to a commercial VHF/UHF vertical (of course with a bunch of low-loss cable). Is worth? My goal is first to work on satellites like AO-51 and then when I will have some experience, to try *again* making a QSO with ISS, my ultimate goal.
I have a dualband homemade yagi (VHF/UHF) but it is very difficult to move my TRX+PSU from my shack to my balcony every time a satellite is passing. I just want to work them from my chair with no stress every hour and a half :). Please give me some ideas.

Questions...
Hi folks,
I'm a writer struggling to find the relevent infomation from the web. Wiki has helped to a certain extent, but I need more detail.
I'm writing a short-story about a USA space station some time (25 years or so) in the future. This is a zombie story for an anthology intitled, "Zombonauts", so it doesn't have to be too serious or plausable - I'd just like some facts. The USA station comes across an old Soviet station from the eighties, and wants to dock. An experiment took place on this station, one that went terribly wrong. USSR lost contact and it shut down, went off course, but remained somewhere in orbit.

I heard ISS
I heard ISS today on 145.800, local time 18:20, (-1Hour utc time), Loc IN61dh, after tracking ISS for a long time, finally i heard, the Astronaut (i haven't ear the name) was (probably) asked if they get sick what do they do, and the answer was that some menbers of the crew have medical training, and if it gets complicated they will receive information from Doctors on earth.
I think he was talking, perhaps with a scholl, does anybody confirm that?
Sorry about my english.
