Current misconfiguration

Seems someone on the ISS activated the TNC but left the radio in the ITU region 2&3 voice configuration. I would suggest that the packet folks not utilize the voice uplink for packet as it will cause interference to that uplink and discourage the crew from wanting to listen for calls. Be patient and wait until the packet operations return to their normal 145.825 simplex frequency. There are 2 school contacts scheduled for tomorrow (April 01) so the radio should change operations after each one of those sessions.

Strange image (SSTV)

For the "strange image" that VE1WRG posted to http://www.amsat.org/amsat/ariss/SSTV/ . It appears you caught the ISS going into sunset/sunrise and there was enough light to reflect the VC-H1 camera lens in the window when it snapped the image.

Charles Simonyi active with SSTV

Charles appears to have started transmitting SSTV. Derek Coolen, VE1WRG has posted a nice image on the ARISS SSTV gallery site at http://www.amsat.org/amsat/ariss/SSTV/

Searching for a video (about, Hamradio/telecommunication/ariss)

Hi ISS FANS !

I'm looking for a 'short' video that i can use in a (school)presentation.
The vid i'm searching for should last around 5mins. 7minsMAX
I would it place inside the PowerPoint. There's just a little problem, there's no internet inside that room, so it needs to be a downloaded viewable video.

+A short explenation about hamradio would be Good.
-I'm so sorry BUT, A TOUR VIDEO ABOUT THE ISS IS NOT USEFULL.
*a video about hamradio on board of the ISS would be HEAVENLY

Thanks thanks thanks!!
Sorry for my worse English

Ham Radio Deluxe?

Hi everyone,,,I'm new to this,,,I made a 2meter copper slim jim antenna yesterday, and ,no friday I mean,,and heard the ISS communicating with people on 145,800.
I was facinated!!!
I can just listen to HAM now,,as I'm nearing the end of a course,,and will be ready soon to take my basic exam,,,should be early April.

Getting to the point, lol,,,,has anyone ever heard of Ham Radio Deluxe?
A friend of mine sent me the link, and I downloaded it,,,,he has the ISS on his map,,plus alot of interesting stuff.
I'm not great with computers,so,I'm still learning how to use it,lol.
Anyway,I'm enjoying the site you have here,,and just wanted to pass on the name of the HRD site also as it might also be a help to someone.
