repeater frequencies diffrent than from freq listed on iss web page??

I recieved a email about my not hearing the iss in repeater mode, i have been listening to 145.800mhz for the downlonk since this site lists the repeater to be 437.800 up , and downlonk 145.800 mhz .... How ever i recieved a email form a ham operator; Iain -- KI4HLV/6Y5 informing me i was listing on the wrong frequency that i need to listen on 437.800 mhz fm for the down link and the uplink VHF 145.990, PL 67 Hz.

I appoligize for the incorrect posting i have placed here for the last few days and thank Ian (KI4hlv) for the clarification.

Sincerly

QSO sched

hi

I am aware of the schdule showing that for a while the ISS is going to be in special crossband mode.

Is there any exceptions to this (not counting the scheduled class room stuff)?

By that I mean, would any direct QSO's be taking place when the astronauts get a break and just have a ham to ham QSO direct??

If so is there any schedules for this?? I wanted to work a ham on board and wonder how do i figure out when they might be 'free' and playing w/the radio?

Lastly how do i know what mode they would be in? I'd go nuts if i heard them calling cq and was on the wrong freq up

ISS V/U repeater active and loud

The ISS repeater will be in V/U mode through January 17, according to
http://www.southgatearc.org/news/january2009/ariss_anniversary_update.htm .

I just had a 20 degree pass and it was really loud, far louder than anything I've ever heard from AO-51 or any other bird. Quite a lot of activity, I worked 6Y5RA, N4QWZ, YV5MM, and KG4ZLB. Called N2EHG (good signal) several times but no answer.

Note that this is NOT the usual ISS repeater configuration (used to be 70cm uplink, 2 meter downlink). The downlink is now on 437.8, and the uplink is on 145.99 (67hz PL tone needed).

Dual Shuttle Launch??

Does anyone know if this is valid?
http://www.nasa.gov/missions/highlights/schedule.html

Looks like May 12th and then 15th - Shuttles to be launched 3 days apart?

Only thing that I can figure is that they are sending the 2nd one up to be ready in case there is a rescue mission needed... Either way, I have already booked the camp site in titusville, and plan on being down there for both of them.

VHF Alone

Hi, I am Vivek Bansal from India. I am desperately trying to make a QSO with the crew but am unsuccessful. I only have a VHF rig and hence am unable to use the crossband repeaters. I am calling at 144.450 and try to listen at 145.800 but I hear nothing. I have made a special egg beater antenna for this purpose and am able to hear all the local stattions clearly. Please help if u think I am doing something wrong.
