Hi I'm new to the club, only joined today. Just wanted to share my experience with everyone. Last Night at around 9pm I went out to our back garden and looked up at the sky to see if any stars were visible yet.
My breath was taken away at the sight of what looked like a huge star, I knew it couldnt be Sirius, it was too big.. I went to get my husband who, upon seeing the bright object in the sky, was convinced it was the International Space Station.
He went on the web to visit a tracking site he'd found a while ago. When he saw the position of The I.S.S. he knew, that the bright star was definatelt the I.S.S.

I heard part of the I.S.S.contact with Christian Life Elementary school in Rockford Ill. today at 19:30 utc.
I made a short recording of it and will try to upload it when I get more time.

Hi, I would like to know if there are on bord of ISS the usualy Fortis Official Cosmonauts 38mm. watches for testing. If so could someone tell about the sapphire glass partculary watches of these watches, how thick is the sapphire glass of these watches to survive in space and under water 200M. ?
Some people say 1,2mm., other people say 2,00mm. and others say 2,70-3,00mm..
Can you belive that no one say it right?

i understand that although the tmd700 is working is has a fault condition

a possible solution would be to reprogam the radio using a laptop
and people are trying to get the project approved
but it is difficult

like many others i would like to see it back on crossband repeater mode

the tmd700 is not manually easy to program even when you have the manual in front of
you and you are on the ground

What does the ISS side of a QSO sound like? Could we get a recording of the pile up that ISS hears as they fly over a populated area? It would be neat if some audio could be downloaded from above!

Yesterday 19 April 2007 at 22:30utc i made voice QSO with NA1SS Charles Simonyi, and i recorded usin SONY Camcorder.
