Hello to all you I.S.S. nuts here on the site. I dont know if any of you remember me but I was active here a few years ago. A lot of things have gone on in my life over the past few years that have kept me from this site and amateur radio. The xyl and I seperated almost a year ago and are headed for divorce, so I have some free time on my hands now. So its back to the shack!! That could be a good thing right?...lol

Anyway I would like to jump back into the flow here and meet the new members that have joined since ive been gone. Oh and I heard the I.S.S. this am while it was over head. Didnt get to make contact as she was talking to someone else and then just like that...GONE! Will try again tho. Well thats about it here and im so glad to be back.

What I don't understand is ...how can we make personnel contact with ISS for QSL if they only have contact with schools?
I would think it would be rude to break in a school contact.

And now they ask for donations for additional radio's onboard the ISS..........Does this mean that perhaps we will get lucky again as it
once was, and we will be able to make one on one contact with the station via: packet/voice/repeater/sstv ???????????

Greetings,
I am unable to start the countdown via the Tracking section of this Website.
I enter my country, and my city, I then pick my city and state, then All passes within 24 hours and start the countdown, but it does not start. It used to work fine about 2 months ago.
This happens both at work and here at my house.

Any theories?

It has been planned for the packet system to be attempted to be restored during the expediton crew change in April 2007. Comments and questions are not easily addressed in the status reporting area. I need help or consultantship with the following problem: The last year 2 QSO carries out in vhf with the ISS; 05-03-06 16:15 UTC 145800 NA1SS 5-9 and the other one the one
25-03-06 20:15 UTC 145800 NA1SS 5-9. The 2 QSL sent them to the address that he/she appears associated to the NA!SS in QRZ.COM with 1 coupon IRC each an and so far I have not received the confirmation of the 2 QSO.
I thank to any colleague or fans of the ISS any consultantship in this respect as for what I should make so that the 2 QSO confirms me. my data appear in QRZ:COM.

Tonight the ISS made about a 43 degree visible pass over San Antonio, TX. I quickly grabbed my telephoto lens and my Canon Digital Rebel XT camera and snapped a few photos. I really didn't expect any to come out since I was holding the camera (no tripod) and since the station moves pretty rappidly, I figured it would blur. But I had one photo of the 20 I took that seems to resemble the station. I'm not sure if it's pure coincidence or if it really is the station. I would like some of you (that have more knowledge about the station) to look at it and let me know what you think. Thanks a lot!
