Will the ISS be on the air on October 20, 2007 for JOTA
I was wondering if the ISS is going to be on the air on October 20th 2007 for the Jamboree-On-The-Air Boys Scouts of America event. It is very much like the nation wide event Field Day. However this event isworld wide. This year marks the 50th anniversary for the event. (depending
on which web site you look at). I would like to help the scouts in our area contact the ISS if possible with either voice or packet. If anyone has any information please let me know.

School Contact today with Ann Arbor?
What happened with the school contact?
I heard N0EFT on the "downlink" frequency 145.800 calling for NA1SS. The question is how was I able to hear them in Manitoba when my antennas were pointed to the ISS. Was the radio on the ISS in repeater mode?
Will be interesting to hear what happened.
Hope the kids are not too disappointed, they might try again.

packet turned off for school contact Monday sept 17th 2007
The event is scheduled to begin at approximately 13:39 UTC.
The contact will be a direct between stations NA1SS and N0EFT. The contact should be audible in most of eastern North America. Interested parties are invited to listen in on the 145.80 MHz downlink. In addition, the audio should be available via IRLP and EchoLink. The participants are expected to conduct the conversation in English.
Hopefully they will turn the radio back to packet afterwords w/o messing it up.
