Hi All, When sending a beacon up to the ISS with APRS....It shows on the earth reporting log as the text below..............

G7UZN]U1SRYU,RS0ISS-4*,SGATE,WIDE,qAR,EI7IG:'va9l -/]=

I have no idea what 'U1SRYU and qAR, EI7IG:'va91 -/]=' is all about and certainly nothing entered into my Kenwood TM-D710.

Any ideas please?

UPDATE: my beacon on the last pass go through with no problem so it must have been a bit of corruption on the earlier pass.

Could you please tell me if there is any possibility to get the exact observation coordinates of the Station in a "parceable" form ?
I mean : i'd like to have the coordinates which i'll be able to use into a tracking program which controls a telescope. So, is it possible to do a post- or get-request (smth like: http://http://issfanclub.com?action=getCoords&city=Paris&time=0800) to obtain the same table as we get after following "predict pass detail -> next pass -> print" ?

Hi, I am beginner in communications across ISS, and I dont know if actually is possible to use the repeaters on board on only communications with the people inside the ISS.

During the pass over Europe today, 9 march 2011 at 13.49h I received comms from the Discovery during the landing procedure at 259.700 AM.

Schoolcontact with Switzerland today 8 march 2011 at 13.24h, received in The Netherlands with an Uniden UBC3500xlt scanner and a home-made 137.5 MHz QFH antenna.

The ARISSat-1 satellite, presently still inside the ISS, will be turned on and use an external antenna on 12 April 2011 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Yuri Gagarin's first manned space flight. AMSAT will support this event and issue certificates to those stations reporting reception of the ARISSat-1 signals. Roscosmos has announced that the satellite will be deployed into orbit during the next EVA in July of this year.
