My friend FM5LD had his 1st voice contact on Sept. 26 2010 at 17h30 to 17h45UTC.

Wondering if anyone had a chance to record this pass.

Thanks for your help

Voice contact on 145.800 Simplex?

A Ham on one of the forums I belong to said he had several QSO's recently with the ISS using 145.800 Simplex. I don't see any mention of this anywhere, only 145.800 downlink and 144.490 uplink. The only simplex I see listed is for SSTV on 145.800. Anyone have information on whether this is valid?

Tnx

Packet off SSTV on?

Since the packet-radio repeater was of last pass over EU (12:33 UTC) maybe SSTV will be on later on? See: http://ariss-sstv.blogspot.com/2010/09/sept-activity-take-2.html

Sept activity - Take 2
Looks like the Russians are scheduling another run of the MAI-75 experiment for Sep 27-29. The activity is planned for 2 runs a day over Western Russian roughly between 0700-1100 UTC. No additional details at this time but likely to be a repeat of the earlier September session. "

where we at

Been away from ISS packet for a while, and was listening in today. I heard the BBS active on 145.825. What are our up/down frequencies right now? Still 145.825 simplex and are people still bouncing APRS packets off the digi?

Richard Garriot

Does anyone know if Richard Garriot is related to Owen Garriot?
I met Owen many years ago at the Houston hamfest and he gave some
of us a tour of NASA
