Can you believe it??? I was going to buy a digital recorder tonight, and don't you know I contacted Col. Doug Wheelock on the ISS. Hoping someone has recording of contact on July 29, at 20:43 utc - my e-mail address is n5jf@att.net... Here's hoping I get Blessed again. You can bet I'll be buying that recorder tonight -HI! If I am lucky enough to get a random voice contact with ISS, what does protocol dictate I should exchange with the operator there - name, location, grid-square or what? I don't want to hog the frequency with unnecessary info in order to give others a chance.

My son Matt and I made a couple of QSOs with Col. Douglas Wheelock onboard the ISS operating amateur radio NA1SS. We used a Yaesu VX-8R handheld and a 2-meter Arrow Yagi antenna. I have never done Packet Radio and would like to use it to communicate with the ISS. What equipment and software do I need? I see TNC units on eBay, but unsure whether to buy. I have a Kenwood 2M transciever. Thanks,

Hi,

I was able to hear the bulletin board in Romania but I don't know how to connect to it. Do I need to create an account first or is it sufficient tu issue C RS0ISS command? Is there any good tutorial on this subject?

A good friend of mine contacted the space station on July 12th. His call is W0IU. Since he is unable to connect to the internet I figured that I would surprise him with a recording of his first ISS contact. So if anyone has a recording with his call I would very much appreciate you sending it to my e-mail.
