Can anyone help me with SSTV
Hi ,
Can you help, I am a disabled Amateur who loves the ISS, I am a M3 so i am on the first step of the ladder on Amateur Radio, I cant get to a club so most of my SSTV is trial and error, my ambition is to get a picture from the ISS, I have a FT-897 set to 145.800 FM, I have a 17ft 2m and 70cm vertical antenna about 30ft high, and a signalink unit that I have used to send and receive SSTV on 2m, so i know the setup is working, I also use the tracking on ISS Fan Club to tell me when the ISS is over me, If the ISS is transmitting will this setup work or have I got it totally wrong, any help or tips would be of great help to me,

Observing Space Stations
We had no street lights in Hamburg Rissen Germany in the early 1960th at my home:
you could regularly observe stars, that moved far too fast to be anything airborn.
I observed such a very fast moving star for the last time at night in the Canadian Rocky Mountains
sometime during the late 1970th.
ISS Fantasy Tactics hopefully will help generate enough interest:for Engineers to ask themselves what these stars are, because they don't move according to the Physics derived on earth.

The space station as a blazing star !
Hello fellow ISS fans !
Although the space shack is silent and we're unable to contact ISS in radiowaves, we're able to have a rather good visual contact with ISS ! Particularly:
During this month, (November) the lucky stargazers in Europe will have better-than-usual opportunities for viewing ISS with particularly good magnitude..
So, let us hope clear skies and good observations of the home of our beloved station !

Work AO-51 with your HT - Tutorial
Here's a copy of the handout I have been using when talking to groups about working amateur satellites with handheld radios.
Enjoy!
