Space contact and Events

Hi everybody!

We just got our "Go for fligh" status for official ARRIS contact with ISS in March '07. As this is a mayor news for Pazin in Croatia (first contact outside US, EU and few "big guns") we are all very excited. The thing is that we have an Science Fiction & Fiction Festival at that time and we hope that it will be possible for ISS crew to open our event on Friday.
So, i'm interested if anyone has some clue about any events OPENED from space in history!?

greets!

ISS, satellite or not

In the recent poll, one of the subject titles was "ISS not a satellite". I have heard this statement before and it has always confused me. It appears to me that ISS fits the 2b definition of a satellite:
2 a : a celestial body orbiting another of larger size b : a manufactured object or vehicle intended to orbit the earth, the moon, or another celestial body

Are there other definitions that make ISS not a satellite?

What happened To ISS Audio?

Does anybody know why the Station audio link on Houston Chronicle does'nt seem to work anymore? It used to work fine 24 hours a day until just before or after the STS-121 mission. It was great listening to the ISS crew communicating with either Russia's mission control centre or Houston and of course, the payloads operations centre at Huntsville. I used to leave my "Real Player" on in the background waiting for comm. Sometimes it would be busy and sometimes very quite. The audio link was especially usefull when the Soyuz was bieng prepared to be moved from one docking port to another on the ISS for example.
