Space station maneuvers to avoid close call
The international space station was successfully maneuvered at mid-day
to avoid a close encounter with a small Italian telecommunications
satellite.
The propulsive maneuver at 11:50 a.m., CDT, raised the altitude of the
240 mile high orbital base by nearly one mile.

During a training for his work as a radio amateur on board of ISS in the near future the ESA cosmonaut André Kuipers used the amateur station at TsPK Moscow, RK3DZB, for a QSO with the station PA4PCH in the Netherlands with your scribe who acted as 2nd operator.

Expedtion Six Returns Home To the USA

The Expedition Six crew returned to Houston, Texas, on Wednesday. Commander Ken Bowersox, Flight Engineer Nikolai Budarin and NASA ISS Science Officer Don Pettit will continue physical rehabilitation and debriefings.

ISS KIBO MODULE BY JAPAN NASDA

International Space Station Imagery
JSC2003-E-34750 (2 May 2003) --- A container transport ship carrying is shown departing Yokohama Harbor, Yokohama, Japan, bound for the Port Canaveral, Florida. The Kibo module, built by the National Space Development Agency of Japan (NASDA), is expected to arrive at the Kennedy Space Center for pre-launch processing in early June.
