Space station maneuvers to avoid close call
The international space station was successfully maneuvered at mid-day
to avoid a close encounter with a small Italian telecommunications
satellite.
The propulsive maneuver at 11:50 a.m., CDT, raised the altitude of the
240 mile high orbital base by nearly one mile.

During a training for his work as a radio amateur on board of ISS in the near future the ESA cosmonaut André Kuipers used the amateur station at TsPK Moscow, RK3DZB, for a QSO with the station PA4PCH in the Netherlands with your scribe who acted as 2nd operator.
