New manager for shuttle program

NASA announced the selection of William (Bill) W. Parsons as the new manager for the Space Shuttle Program. Parsons, the director of the NASA John C. Stennis Space Center, Miss., succeeds Ronald D. Dittemore, who announced his resignation April 23.

Expedition 7 Commander Yuri Malenchenko and NASA ISS Science Officer Ed Lu are wrapping up their first week of independent operations aboard the International Space Station after departure of their Expedition 6 predecessors on May 3.
