ARISS contact planned for school in Saint Malo, France

An International Space Station radio contact has been planned for astronaut Thomas Pesquet KG5FYG with Collège Jean Charcot, Saint Malo, France.

The event is scheduled Thursday December 8, 2016 at approximately 15:19 UTC, which is 16:19 CEWT.

This will be a telebridge radio contact, operated by IK1SLD, located in Casale Monferrato, northern Italy.

Slow-scan television (SSTV) transmissions are planned from the International Space Station (ISS) on December 8-9, 2016.

The SSTV images will be transmitted as part of the MAI-75 Experiment on 145.800 MHz FM using the Kenwood TM-D710 transceiver located in the Russian ISS Service module.

The MAI-75 activities have been scheduled for the Russian crew on Dec 8 from 12:35 to 18:00 GMT and Dec 9 from 12:40 to 17:40 GMT.

Seeing activities for MAI-75 on Dec 8 (12:35-1800) and Dec 9 (12:40-17:40) UTC. Times correspond to orbits over Moscow.

Possibly the Indonesian satellite IO-86 had something to do with it?

Hello to all, I want to ask, like telling the atronauts of the iss to give us a chance of contacts in phony South America.
Or know in what hours they could be in phony. Or is random. thanks

The event is scheduled Thursday 17 November 2016 at approximately 08:25 UTC.

This will be a telebridge radio contact, operated by W6SRJ, located in California, USA.
NON udible in Europe !!! only head this contact in USA !

APRS packet system that normally operates 145.825 MHz has not been available. Crew member Shane Kimbrough, KE5HOD, has activated an ARISS UHF radio that had been in storage on the ISS, and it is now operational on 437.550 MHz.

The packet system uses the same protocol as the VHF system. Operators using the system should adjust for increased Doppler shift at UHF.

Kenwood TM-D710 to replace all Amateur Radio transceivers on board the ISS.

The target date for delivery is late 2017 , hi !!

Any hope of/or word on the repair or a fix for the Packet Digipeater on the ISS ?

Didn't the Kenwood radio they used before, have the packet built in ? Could they use that one again, or did thy get rid of that radio ?

Just wondering, the ISS is too quiet down here without packet.. hi
