When is voice mode active?
Excited to discover the possibility of contacting ISS staff! However i can not figure out if and when voice mode is active. When satellite approaches i can hear the packets on 145.825 and i use them as reference for satellite reception. Then i switch over to voice uplink, 145.200,and listen on downlink, 145.800 here in Europe. I have attempted to call several times but no response,i transmit portable on my yaesu 8900 with 50w. Maybe i can be lucky on repeater voice mode (437.800, 145.800) or repeater with PL 145.990 ENC?73

Yaesu FTM-100DR Digi Path
Hello there
I have a Yaesu FTM-100DR, with APRS working quite well terrestrially.
As I understand, to work the ISS, the digi path on the radio needs to be set to ARISS. Unfortunately, the only settings available on this radio is "OFF", "WIDE1-1" and "WIDE1-1, WIDE2-1". According to the owner's manual, there should be options to select PATH 1 to PATH 4, FULL 1 of FULL 2, so that the address can be manually entered. However, this seems to be missing from the APRS menu in the radio.

ISS contact
Hello,
We are a group of Teachers and Students, currently in an Astronomy Camp. We would like to make contact with the crew from ISS, just to say hello and to wish them good luck. Does somebody know how can we get in contact with them? We don't have any high performance radio equipment, so we were thinking at an e-mail.
Thanks and have a nice day!
Yaesu VX-8GE / Digipath / APRS via ISS
Dear OMs,
First, i may introduce myself.
My name is Horst and i am quite new to HAM radio and just got my licence a 4 month ago.
For APRS i use a Yaesu VX-8GE, usually tuned to 144,800Mhz. I am a bit familiar with the Digipath settings
and use either WIDE 1-1 (as Homestation) or WIDE 1-1 and WIDE 2-1 (as portable).
On 145,825MHz i am not sure about the Digipath i have to use, as there are plenty of options mentioned on the internet.
