Nothing heard on the 2055 UTC pass over Central US. I suspect you (PE2JMR) may hear nothing also unless they get active in the next 30 minutes.
Will listen during the next shallow pass off to the west and again tomorrow.
Good Luck,

ISS & Kenwood TM-D700
Oh Goodie,
It appears that they sent up half of the Phase 2 equipment but we still have to wait for the verification and certification before they will install it. That is the good news, the bad being that the next progress has been delayed till early next year. So much for getting all of Phase 2 up by Christmas.I wonder what the all that equipment looks like after being modified for space. Does anybody have any pictures?

ISS & Kenwood TM-D700
Since it appears that the D-700 is in Moscow being given the final run through, I bet Mike is having great difficulty plugging it in.
Hopefully things will be more active once the gear is shipped. If not, I vote we send Valery Korzun back up on a taxi mission to get things running again.

ISS head packet signal
My question answered I guess, on and off again once more showing that billions of dollars and the future of space science cannot get a d700 to work !

ISS head packet signal
QUESTIONS:
Is this to say that the D700 stn is now PERMENANTLY active or will there be off and ons again and
what is the freq, is it simply 145.800 OR is it split to uplink opf 144.99 and downlink opf a45.800 as the news item seems to say?
Also exactly what unproto paths is it using ?, wide, relay, rs0iss?
will someone pklease confirm this as information is not very well given it seems
thanks

ISS & Kenwood TM-D700
Q: How many Astronauts does it take to plug in a D700?
A: Don´t know unless it;s in triplicate and costys thousands of dollars for a bloody simple task that would not challenge a 5 year old.
Just how hard is it to plug in a d700 one has to ask, even on the ISS ?.
ridiculous !

Miles Mann posted a message on October 23 concerning the TM-D700. I think it will be sent on the next PROGRESS automated cargo spaceship. I am posting an excerpt from that old message received via SAREX:
«The ISS packet system is still OFF-LINE. Astronaut Mike Foale, said he will try to fix the problem, however he can not make the repairs until he get permission and has the project "Time-Lined" into his schedule.
Please be patient.http://www.marexmg.org/fileshtml/howtouseiss.html
