Astronaut André Kuipers PI9ISS was calling CQ from the International Space Station on 145.800 MHz FM on both Saturday and Sunday afternoon, Feb. 25-26.

1° Circolo Didattico Nicola Fornelli located in Bitonto, Italy has been scheduled for an Amateur Radio on the International Space Station (ARISS) contact on Friday, February 24 at 14:01 UTC. The contact will be an integral part of student studies covering life in space, communications, space conquests and research, artificial satellites and the ISS.

Spacewalk Dress Rehearsal and Robotics for Station Crew
The Expedition 30 crew members living and working aboard the International Space Station conducted a spacewalk dress rehearsal and a series of robotics tests Tuesday. They also worked with a variety of scientific research from around the world and continued the upkeep and maintenance of the systems aboard the orbiting laboratory.

Crew Gears up for Spacewalk, Works on Science
Gearing up for Thursday’s spacewalk, Flight Engineers Oleg Kononenko and Anton Shkaplerov of the International Space Station’s Expedition 30 crew installed new sensors in their Orlan spacesuits and conducted a translation exercise in the Pirs docking compartment’s airlock Monday. The exercise tested their mobility in advance of a dress rehearsal to test the suits’ systems on Tuesday.

Spacesuit Checks Continue, Crew Focuses on Science
The hatches between the Pirs docking compartment and the Progress 46 cargo craft have been closed and leak checks completed. The hatch closure allows Flight Engineers Anatoly Shkaplerov and Oleg Kononenko to exit Pirs after depressurization for a spacewalk on Feb. 16.
