An Amateur Radio on the International Space Station (ARISS) contact has been scheduled for Scouts Canada, Nova Scotia Council in Dartmouth, Canada on Saturday, June 23 at 17:10 UTC via station VK5ZAI in Australia. A “Space Program Event” will be held with Scouts of various ages in conjunction with groups earning their Science Badge Awards. The youth will learn about space, the ISS and amateur radio.

ISS Amateur Radio Project Engineer Kenneth Ransom, N5VHO reports the ARISS digipeater has changed frequency from 145.825 MHz (up/down) to 437.550 MHz (up/down). The same digi alias ARISS is still used.

will televise the launch and docking of the next mission, carrying three radio amateurs to the International Space Station (ISS), scheduled for May 14.
