Great ISS evening voice pass.

On the evening of September 29 2002 at 23:50 UTC the amateur radio community in the eastern half of the USA were treated to a very rare space station event.

I attended the South Carolina Wings Weekend held at the Greenville downtown airport, which I assisted with an amateur radio display.
The guest speaker at Saturdays evenings Wings dinner was South Carolina astronaut / ISS Expedition 3 Cmdr Frank Culbertson Jr.

Hello, only to advise that this night packet system was active but uplink frequency was on 145.200 MHz.

"AMSAT-OSCAR 7, the amateur satellite launched in 1974 suddenly came back on the air this summer after two decades of silence. Command operator Mike Seguin,nijez, reports success in sending various commands to the satellite; and slow scan enthusiasts have been exchanging sstv pics viaAO-7.
