ISS made a pass over Connecticut on 16Apr12 @ 2300Z
Can anyone tell me if the ISS is still using VOICE mode ?
They flew right over CT, and I heard nothing, unless they were
busy doing some experiments or work on board. I noticed on this
website, that the ISS has been making lots of PACKET contact..
I have my radio set to 144.49MHz on TX and 145.80MHz on RX.

Questions from Canada
Hey Guys...
so whats the real uplink freq for voice in CANADA... I'm hearing conflicting answers... Is it 145.200 or 144.490... Whats the difference.
And why doesnt the side have a canadian time zone option besides Mtl, Hfx and wpg?? :)
Thanks

Question about ISS config with Kenwood THd72
Hi all
we are trying to set up the config menu in the new kenwood handy and it seems we are getting into trouble.
when on menu PacketPath we´re trying to put RS0ISS-4 and we do it (under "others"), but the kenwood seems not to keep the configuration and goes back to Type: New-N
Any hint?
Anyone here that can provide a proper ISS packet configuration using a THD72?
thanks in advance

Reading Data of Kenwood ts 2000 on pc
Hiii everyone.
I recently bought a new TS-2000 transciever.
I interfaced it to my pc using ARCSii ,HRD and MCP2000.
All are working fine but i am not able to read the recieved data of TS-2000 via serial port.(we are
trying to receive the data using fsk modulation scheme sent at freq 432.95 MHz)
Not on hyperterminal nor on termite.
If there is any other interfacing software for TS 2000 then please suggest.
So i will be glad if anyone has any help for me.
Thanking u.

School contact with the ISS on friday 13th july 2012
Hi All,
We are a bunch of radio amateurs who are helping at a school fair to raise money for the school and also we have been showing the childeren for the science projects how radio works etc.
We will have a special event station set up at the school on Friday 13th july 2012, we will be active on HF 2m and 70cm. Our call sign will be GB0RBL and we are so wanting a short contact with the iss as she passes us on that morning........

Discourage ISS BBS connects during 'peak daytime passes'
This subject has come up before, but maybe a reminder is needed for those new to
working the ISS via packet.
The use of the ISS BBS by one station connecting blocks the pass for everyone
else, this just happened here in Europe where a station in Scotland did just
this and so after him no-one else can use the APRS system.
What happens is that the one station connects when the ISS is close to him, then
can't get much more from the BBS before the Space Station moves East and other
FM packet signals are stronger. Result most of the pass is lost for everyone, which is
