Well, this was my second attempt to contact the ISS and sure enough I made contact today at 1620 (L) Las Vegas time on 145.800Mhz. I had a great signal from the ISS and a nice conversation before losing the pass. I was using Yaesu VX-8R and the Arrow Dual band antenna. This was an awesome experience and one I will remember for a while. Thanks for the contact and best wishes on the ISS. I also posted the audio file (hopefully) in the audio section.

Here was a great pass over Las Vegas, and my second attempt to contact the ISS. I made contact with NA1SS and had a great conversation. What an awesome experience!! I was using my Yaesu VX-8r hand held, and the Arrow Dual band antenna. 73's Jason

Worked NA1SS at 2331 and spoke with CMDR. Doug Wheelock. Also heard him work a TX station and then East Coast. I expected a bit of a pileup, but he was calling CQ NA. No audio file, sorry. QSL is going out tomorrow! Any ideas on how long is the QSL turnaround at ARRL? Tnx.
