Packet monitoring

This is a question for those of you monitoring to the packet transmissions.

I have heard some packet transmissions on the 145.825 Mhz on some recent passes over Arizona. Should I just dust off my old TNC or is their some good software that will do the job? I have access to Windows XP and OS X in the shack.

Wanting to know the 2meter freqs. for the ISS & can it be done w/voice

I have only had my callsign ticket for five years and still consider myself a virgin in ham radio. It has always been a dream of mine to talk to a fellow ham on the ISS. I am finding this difficult to do however because of the fact that no one can give me a strait answer as to what the freqs. are.
