Euro Space Center QSO with NA1SS
Students participatng in Space Camp 2006 activities at the Euro Space Center, Transinne, Belgium are scheduled to take part in an ARISS contact with NA1SS. This telebridge event will take place on Tuesday, June 13, 2006 at 1339 UTC and will be supported by ground station W6SRJ located in Santa Rosa, California, USA.
Live audio of this event will be available on IRLP and EchoLink throught the ARISS Audio Distribution Project.
IRLP users can connect to the main channel of "Discovery" Reflector 9010. The audio feed will begin approximately 9 minutes before the scheduled contact time. Streaming audio is also available through www.discoveryreflector.ca:8000/listen.pls (expect a 2 to 3 minute delay on this stream).
Scarlett Middle School Contacts NA1SS
On June 6th 2006 Scarlett Middle School located in Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA, contacted the International Space Station and Astronaut Jeff Williams via amateur radio station N0EFT. This represents the 243rd successful ARISS contact.
With the exception of some acquisition difficulties associated with the ground station the contact was uninterrupted through to LOS. A total of 13 questions were asked by the students from Mr. Jon Strempek's 6th grade science class amidst smiling faces.
In attendance was Glenn Nelson, a representative of the Ann Arbor Public Schools Board of Education; a representative from Congressman John Dingell's office; NASA Aerospace Education Specialist, Jim Fitzgerald; representatives from the Ann Arbor News as well as school administration, faculty and parents.

Crossband Repeater to be available for QRP operations
The ARISS Phase 2 station will be configured in crossband repeater mode--437.800 MHz up/145.800 MHz down, but it's being requested that ONLY low-power (QRP) Earth stations access the system. The definition of a QRP station for this activation will be the same criteria that AMSAT is using for its QRP operations on ECHO (AO-51) for Field Day.
