NASA announced a contest, which will give American school kids a chance to make history, by naming two rovers being launched to explore Mars. The robotic explorers are part of NASA's upcoming Mars Exploration Rover (MER) mission.

ISS EXP 5 STATUS REPORT #49
A Russian-Belgian cosmonaut crew arrived at the International Space Station in the wee hours this morning in a newly modified Soyuz capsule after a flawless two-day flight following launch from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan.

Space Shuttle Endeavour ready for Nov. 11 launch
The Space Shuttle Endeavour is set to launch Nov. 11 on a mission that will carry the International Space Station (ISS) into its third year of permanent occupancy with a new crew and a new, 14-ton truss segment to enhance future cooling and power systems.

Taxi Crew #4 entered the Station
Zalyotin, De Winne and Lonchakov are now onboard Space Station. Taxi Crew and ISS Crew will work together until November 10 in a very busy week.
Then the next Space Shuttle Endeavour mission STS-113 will change ISS Crew onboard the Station. Launch is scheduled on Nov. 11.
