I actually made my first ISS voice contact with Serena Auńon-Chancellor. I had been monitoring the downlink frequency on the off chance that they would be sending SSTV as they did back in June and July. Boy, was I surprised when I hear Serena saying, "NA1SS, NA1SS, over North America, anyone want to talk?"
I grabbed my mic (Icom IC-706MkIIG) and keyed up, forgetting I wasn't on the uplink frequency, giving my call, then remembered to switch to 144.490 and lo and behold, she HEARD me! Said they were over the TX/OK area at that point. Slant-line distance estimate, about 1000 miles!

Our Club (H.A.L. Scouts Group Amateur Radio Club (VU2LKO), Lucknow, India) is going to organise the ARISS School contact Programme as per following schedule:

I have an AR 109 handheld scanner set to 148.500 with a 2 metre HB9CV antenna but have been unable to pick up any signals from the ISS after listening on many passes. Can anyone advise me on what to do to fix this.

Is it possible to be kept informed on any future SSTV events? I enjoyed receiving the pics back in June & July, 2018.

In the meantime, the design of HamTV2 has begun, with a higher resolution and a modular constructive approach so that any repairs to the essential parts take place in orbit without having to report the TX on the ground.

21 September an ISS contact with to 2 school the Bischöfliche Schule / Technisches Institut, St.Vith, Belgium, and Berufliche Schule Direktorat 1 Nürnberg, Nuremberg, Germany !

The event is scheduled to begin at approximately 10:15 UTC.

The contact will be a telebridge between NA1SS and W6SRJ.

The contact should be audible over the west coast of the U.S ( NOT EUROPE ! )

listen in on the 145.80 MHz downlink.

The contact is expected to be conducted in German.

I am seeing that connecting to www.issfanclub.com actually redirects to www.alain.it
And some content filtering packages block access due to adult materials. Any idea what is happening ? Has the site (issfanclub) been compromised, or is intentionally or unintentionally redirecting to www.alain.it ?
