During 1996, a group of amateur radio operators involved in the communications with the MIR Space Station, decided to join into the "Mir Fan Club". In a very short time over 1200 enthusiasts from all over the world asked to participate, including Cosmonaut Valery Korzun, while leading crew #22. Nowdays MIR is not flying anymore, but here we are again with the same spirit and the same enthusiasm for the ISS, the new International Space Station.

ARISS programme for school students in Lucknow India
The H.A.L. Scouts Group Amateur radio Club, VU2LKO Lucknow, India is deeply devoted to explore Amateur Radio activity among Scouts and Guides and other interested people in state.
The club is assisting two schools at Lucknow (India) to arrange the ARISS school contact programme which will be organised as per schedule given below:
1. H.A.L. School Lucknow between 04th–10th April 2016
2. CMS Rajajipuram II Lucknow between 16th - 22nd May 2016.

It had to be you...
In 7F on Norwegian flight DY641 18.20 from Bergen to Oslo tonight. Norwegian has wifi - and I get FLYOVER ALERT when I turn on after take off. Hei! After a year of tracking you from my garden in Oslo without seeing you, I am very excited. I realize I am on the South side of the plane. You are passing over England. Hei, presto! Can I see you?!? And after a five minute count down, you glide by! Or, more accurately, fly by at 20-25 times the speed the plane is doing. I SAW YOU!!! So happy.
