Made contact driving west on capitol Dr. at 124th street in Milwaukee with 50W on a 1/4 dual band Larson with a Kenwood.
I'm the N3VQ? H
Got him even after orbitron said it was -1.5 degrees below used the radio clubs contest antennas to work the contact. Also worked him on previous pass that day as W3HZU at the Keystone VHF Club... anybody have that recording?
Thanks
Mike
Corrected your call...
I corrected your call sign. It sounded like he might have said "Henry" after listening to the recording several times, but I wasn't entirely sure (non-ICAO phonetics tend to throw me).
The last two stations in the recording were definitely "extras" from a VHF propagation standpoint if the ephemeris are correct. It may be that the NORAD/NASA folks still don't have the ephemeris quite right after the ISS boost on Wednesday.

I'm the VJ in W. NY. Got him
I'm the VJ in W. NY. Got him just before he faded over the Atlantic.
Even though it was weak, I'm thrilled.
Thanks for the recording because I forgot to set my recorder.
