NA1SS QSO (Col Wheelock) - 14 September 2010 (audio & video)
KF7ETX ISS QSO 14SEP10 2010 UTC GRID CN85om
Well this was the "holy grail" of QSOs or contacts for the new rookie or the established "Elmer" HAM radio operator. Luck was in the air as I made contact with Col Doug Wheelock aboard the International Space Station operating the onboard HAM radio station NA1SS. I felt privileged as he spent a bit of time chatting with me. This was for sure a thrill of a life time!

ISS contact and video
David,
That was the most impressive video I have ever seen. The music, graphics and artistic work put into that video was very professional. Do you do this can of work for a living. Totally awsome!!!!!!!!!

Good Job!
You are lucky to live near the coast because you have a bit of a "First Chance" advantage. Great job on the video. Thanks for posting.

Thanks! I am just realizing the 'first chance" advantage of the west coast QTH.

ISS Contact
David,
A real nice job on both the contact and your video of it. My hairs were standing on end as I watched it and I am impressed with your ability to not loose your voice. I too haven't been licensed all too long, and I am looking forward to making my first contact (some day).
I still get quite a thrill hearing the packet signal on passes.
Sincerely,

I know what you mean . . . I still get that hair standing on end feeling just thinking about how cool it is to talk with Doug and the ISS crew. I think it is one of those things in amateur radio that transcends the novice to the seasoned "Elmer" . . . but if you are new to the hobby it sure does set the hook!

Not Sure If Posting Correct
Alain -
Please let me know if I am posting content correctly.
I just posted another interesting QSO with Col Wheelock. I didn't see it come up on the website. Perhaps there is a delay, or I am not posting correctly.
Thanks for such a great site!
