Problems here using Firefox 3.6.8, after entering nearest town/country in dialogue box, cvomes up with my hometown, I click on the link to select it as my hometown & get javascript 'sitting in the background' - then nothing happens on the screen.
Can still see my nearest location (Douglas, Isle of Man) 'pinned' on the map, but nothing else.
Also the same result in IE, get javascript error:-

Roger, you and I seem to be having problems about the same. My problem is the map shows with my QTH on it but no tracking at all. What are we doing wrong? HORACE
i'll tell you right now what are you doing wrong: you're not giving me enough details.
This is what the thing is supposed to be:
1) you enter your QTH
2) your QTH with laitude and longitude pops up in the map
3) you click "click here to select this location" in the popup
4) a pin appears over your QTH with a list of the available passes down below the map
5) when you select one of the passes the map shows it
Can you explain exactly what are you doing, what you see, and what doesn't work?
Alain, Ihave my QTH with the pin on my map. The pin is in the right place for my QTH. But it does not show a list of passes below the map any more. Maybe this explans it better. THANKS you are doing a great job.It is just me i tnink . horace
I have tried with my QTH (New York City) at 16.19 EST of August 22nd. The first predicted pass is 00.10 UTC, which is correct. I don't find anything wrong. Consider that the script that does the predictions hasn't changed. Can you provide examples of wrong tracking?
Alain,
Not sure if your understanding what I'm truing to say.
For example, if I want the tracking data for today, it doesn't show that data. It shows tomorrows data.
Check the following tables.
They are for the 24th Aug., and todays date is the 23rd.

If I want to follow the Iss for today, I must copy yesterdays orbit tables.
Can I access yesterdays tables via your system, as these are the orbit paremeters I need.
If not, I will have to download each new days data files so as to use them for the following day.
The orbit predictions are not the problem, just the day they are presented.
I believe that you are mistaking local time with UTC time. If you predict passes when in the US is night, you will most probably find a pass in the subsequent day, because the passes are predicted in UTC. That's the only explanation I can find, since I have tried several times and all predictions are correct.
nothing has changed and you dont have to adjust anything. Times have always been UTC. Here is an example.
Here is an example: I now choose Phoenix AZ as my city. It's 7.02PM of Aug 24th local time. Next pass for Phoenix will be 2.30AM of Aug 25th *** UTC ***
This is perfectly normal and, once again, nothing has changed.

Hi Roger,
thanks for your input. Try again

Current tracking data.
Alain,
The tracking module that shows up at my QTH is always one day ahead of the actual operating date.
For example, todays date and UTC is the 22 of August with a UTC of 14:53.
The tracking information that shows at this moment is for the 23 of August.
The old tracking module data always showed the current as well as the upcoming pass data.
Am I doing something wrong?
Again thanks,
Roger KC6DKX

Horace,
Don't know!
The old module worked great.
Would be nice if the new programing would show the current passes as well as the future.
I can't imagine the grief Alain must be going through.
He's doing all this work on a voluntary basis, just so some hams can chase the ISS.
Sure hope he doesn't get tired of it.

UTC Check
Alain,
Well, I was using UTC times as I know this is the time function for all ham activity.
Will just have to adjust to the current system.
Thanks for all your efforts in dealing with this.
The ole module worked far better for me, but if this is the way it's going to be, then no problem.
For me, your's is the best site for ISS ham related information.
Again,
Thanks.
