Space Station Crew Conducts Survey of S1 Truss

The Expedition Six crew's work Tuesday focused on elements inside and outside of the International Space Station. Commander Ken Bowersox and NASA ISS Science Officer Don Pettit used the station's robot arm, Canadarm2, to conduct a survey of the station's S1 (S-One) Truss. They will be at the controls of the arm again on Thursday to conduct a survey of the P1 (P-One) Truss.

Meanwhile, Flight Engineer Nikolai Budarin installed new television subsystem equipment in the Zvezda Service Module. He also completed scheduled maintenance on a water system in the Russian segment.

On the science front, Bowersox set up equipment for Wednesday's session with the Foot/Ground Reaction Forces During Spaceflight, or FOOT, experiment.

Expedition Six Commander Kenneth D. Bowersox used a still camera to photograph the topography of a point on Earth from the Earth-facing window in the Destiny Laboratory on the International Space Station
