November 12th
Crew Prepares for Monday Spacewalk, Continues Science
Flight Engineers Oleg Skripochka and Fyodor Yurchikhin are preparing their Russian Orlan spacesuits for Monday’s six-hour spacewalk. They are conducting a fit check in advance of a dress rehearsal on Friday. On Monday, the spacewalkers will install a workstation, clean and remove science hardware and investigate the possibility of bio-organisms on the outside of the station.
Flight Engineer Alexander Kaleri worked in the Russian side of the International Space Station. He spent time cleaning filters and conducting an audit of the Inventory Management System.

Science, Maintenance, Spacewalk Preparations for Crew

Expedition 25 Commander Doug Wheelock and Flight Engineers Shannon Walker and Scott Kelly worked with the Sleep-Wake Actigraphy and Light Exposure during Spaceflight, or SLEEP, experiment Friday. SLEEP examines the effects of space flight and ambient light exposure on the sleep-wake cycles of the crew members during their stays on the International Space Station.

NASA Celebrates 10th Anniversary Of Space Station
WASHINGTON -- The International Space Station partner agencies will mark a major milestone on Nov. 2 with the 10-year anniversary of people living permanently aboard the space station. NASA will commemorate the event with a news conference featuring the six crew members currently in orbit.
NASA Administrator Charles Bolden will begin the event, speaking live to the station crew at 9:30 a.m. EDT from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. His remarks and the following news conference will be broadcast live on NASA Television.

2nd Amateur Radio Station to be Activated on ISS
The original VHF and UHF Ericsson handheld radios in the Russian segment of the ISS originally used for ARISS have been approved by NASA for use in the US segment of the space station. When the Ericsson radios are installed in the Columbus module it will become the second Amateur Radio station aboard the ISS. A new power cable for the Ericsson radios is being delivered to the ISS.

October 23rd
Crew Completes Progress Undocking Preparations
Expedition 25 Flight Engineer Fyodor Yurchikhin closed and performed leak checks on the hatch between the International Space Station and the ISS Progress 37 cargo ship Friday, completing preparations for the craft’s undocking.
The Progress is scheduled to undock from the Pirs docking compartment Monday at 10:25 a.m. EDT. It will spend three weeks orbiting a safe distance from the station to enable Russian engineers to conduct technology experiments before being deorbited Nov. 15.
