Sergei Krikalev video message to IARU Region 1 Conference

The International Amateur Radio Union comprises three Regions. Region 1 covers Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Northern Asia. Region 1 convened its tri-annual General Conference in Davos, Switzerland 11-15 September 2005.
150 delegates from 56 countries participated and considered over 130 papers, giving rise to 70 Recommendations.
At the opening ceremony, Sunday 11 September, the delegates were surprised to receive greetings from Space. A video was shown with Sergei Krikalev, U5MIR, ISS Expedition 11 Commander, sending greetings to the General Conference.
TREGARON ARISS SCHOOL CONTACT SUCCESSFUL

Today, Thursday 29 September 2005 at 11:28 UTC, i.e. 12:28 UK time and 13:28 CET (Continental European Time), the Tregaron High School in Tregaron, Wales, United Kingdom had a very succesful Space Talk with US astronaut John Phillips, KE5DRY onboard the International Space Station.

NASA TV begins two weeks of coverage Friday of journeys to and from the international space station. The station's residents, Expedition 11 Commander Sergei Krikalev and Flight Engineer John Phillips, will be replaced by the Expedition 12 crew after more than six months in space.

Friday at 11:54 p.m. EDT from the Baikonur Cosmodrome, Kazakhstan, on a Soyuz spacecraft.
ISS school contact with UK successful!
Hello All,
Today I have listened to the ISS school contact with Wales (UK).
The contact was a success many questions have been answered without QRM.
For the people who could not listen to this school contact I have good news!
