Need some advice for proper Rx
Hello everyone!
I am new to this forum. I've always tried to go outside and watch the ISS go overhead. I recently purchased an old Icom IC-PCR100 receiver and was given a AntennaCraft ST2 scanner antenna to use.
So far, I have not been very successful at listening in on ISS voice communications on 145.8mhz FM. I have been able to hear sporadic data packets on 145.825mhz.
What would be a better antenna to use? I figure this old IC-PCR100 receiver should be capable of receiving, so I can only guess that perhaps the antenna isn't good enough.
