An International Space Station school contact has been planned with participants at UNICEF Belgium from Euro Space Center, Belgium, on 10 Sep. The event is scheduled to begin at approximately 09:56 UTC.
The duration of the contact is approximately 9 minutes and 30 seconds. The contact will be a telebridge between NA1SS and LU1CGB. The contact should be audible over portions of the South America. Interested parties are invited to listen in on the 145.80 MHz downlink. The contact is expected to be conducted in French and Dutch.

UNICEF Belgium will launch by the 25th of September its new educative campaign: WaSH. To promote this event the organization has organized a big drawing contest. It has been asked of the world classes willing to participate to imagine a WaSH logo and to include with it an important message about water and the needs to protect it. Three classes have been selected.

The contact will be a telebridge between NA1SS and W6SRJ. The contact should be audible over the west coast of the U.S. Interested parties are invited to listen in on the 145.80 MHz downlink. The contact is expected to be conducted in English or Dutch.

Onze middenschool, voor de eerste graad , gelegen in Keerbergen, maakt deel uit van het Koninklijk Atheneum Keerbergen. Onze middenschool telt ongeveer een 560 leerlingen. Deze leerlingen zijn gemiddeld tussen de 12 en 14 jaar oud. Deze deelname aan het ARISS project wordt gelinkt aan het vak Technologische Opvoeding. Hierin komt een project transport aan bod. Doel van dit project is om in verschillende groepjes milieuvriendelijke transportmiddelen te ontwerpen en te maken. Dit wordt ondersteund door een cursus waarin verschillende soorten transport aan bod komen. De ruimtevaart komt in dit project nadrukkelijk naar voor.

With over a week of docked operations behind them, the astronauts and cosmonauts said their goodbyes and closed the hatches between the International Space Station and space shuttle Discovery at 11:41 p.m. EDT Monday.

Discovery is scheduled to undock from the station at 3:26 p.m. Tuesday to begin the trip back to Earth.

The 13 crew members aboard space shuttle Discovery and the International Space Station completed final transfer work between the two spacecraft and returned the high-tech moving van "Leonardo" back to the orbiter's payload bay Monday.

Arriving aboard Discovery was the newest Expedition 20 crew member, Nicole Stott, who switched places with Mission Specialist Tim Kopra. Stott will handle flight engineer duties aboard the station until her return home aboard Atlantis following the STS-129 mission in November.
