The next International Space Station's Expedition 11 ARISS school contact will be with students at the Tregaron High School, Tregaron, Ceredigion, Wales, United Kingdom, on Thursday, 29 September 2005. The event is scheduled to begin at approximately 11:28 UTC.
This contact will be direct between stations NA1SS and GB4FUN, so it should be audible to anyone in areas near the United Kingdom listening in on the 145.80 MHz downlink. The participants are expected to conduct the conversation in English.

The crew of STS-121 is getting ready for the second Return to Flight mission aboard space shuttle Discovery, participating in proficiency training flights and rendezvous simulations. NASA is currently targeting no earlier than March 2006 for launch, and is evaluating how the impacts of Hurricane Katrina will affect the launch schedule.

Two veteran crewmembers will make up the 12th crew of the International Space Station since continuous human presence began on the orbiting laboratory in November 2000.
In addition to marking the fifth anniversary of this uninterrupted presence of men and women in space, the crewmembers also will bring the Station into the new year and welcome the resumption of Space Shuttle flights to their home in orbit.
