ON October 23, 2004 at 330 am the iss was coming right over head of lincoln Nebraska so i decided to step outside with my ht ... Expecting to hear just packet, i heard mr. finke (NA1SS) talking to a station in mexico and michigan so tried my luck and went to 144.49 sim and listened on 145.8 nex thing i knew he was calling my callsign, right back at me FULL SCALE like he was sitting right next to me.....

Just Spoke to Mike Finke at 5am EDT, he was making his last contacts prior to leaving the ISS. The entire crew was eating Breakfast. Mike and Genady were about to finish final packing for return to Earth.

Email Via ISS

Sending Email via ISS is pretty easy!
Most modern software like UISS, APRS, UI-VIEW etc have the capability of creating a message to a user. This uses UI frames (unproto) via a digipeater to send a "message� usually consisting of 1 line. Instead of entering in a callsign you enter EMAIL (all in caps most software already does) as the recipient.....
