HamTV updates at a glance; long times come for every spatial planning.

In the meantime, the design of HamTV2 has begun, with a higher resolution and a modular constructive approach so that any repairs to the essential parts take place in orbit without having to report the TX on the ground.

long time ...hi !

SSTV trasmissions continue by ISS !!!

SSTV transmissions continue.....

SSTV transmissions from the Russian Service module on the International Space Station started June 29 on 145.800 MHz FM and they are still continuing

There may well be further transmissions up until July 13 when the equipment being used for the SSTV will be required for a school contact.

collegue G7HCE in Exeter noted that some adjustments have been made by the cosmonauts and the images are now being sent uncropped. For the first week the edges of the pictures were missing.

SSTV Image Question

In the recent SSTV activities I have an image with a somewhat small satellite on the left side upper corner. I was wondering if anyone could tell me what satellite that was? I thought maybe it was a ham radio satellite.

29 to 1 July 2018 an SSTV Event by ISS !!

Receive SSTV from Space June 29-July 1

ARISS Russia is planning a special Slow Scan Television (SSTV) event from the International Space Station Station around 09:00 GMT on Friday, June 29 and continuing until 18:30 GMT Sunday, July 1.

Supporting this event is a computer on the ISS Russian Segment, which stores images that are then transmitted to Earth using amateur radio, specifically the onboard Kenwood TM-D710E transceiver.

These images will commemorate the various satellites that were hand-deployed from the ISS.

Do NOT Use that "new" ISS Repeater

ARISS would prefer that we NOT use the recently posted repeater pair for FM
voice work.

That was a test of the Tanusha birds, and NOT an open invitation to use it as an
ISS FM Voice repeater. Something definitely went wrong with the Russians' plan
for the testing. And that downlink frequency is - well, kind of like the US' 146.520 as
it is a common terrestrial frequency in Europe.

And the 15-year-old Kenwood D-700 cannot take that amount of ops, as its fan/cooling
is not adequate for such continuous operations.
