At T minus zero in the countdown, eight pyrotechnics nuts on hold-down posts, one on the external tank vent line and one on a lanyard explode, releasing bolts so the shuttle can lift off. Immediately afterward, the solid rocket boosters fire.

Each nut has two pyrotechnics in it. Only one set of pyrotechnics fired, the 10 nuts exploded, and Atlantis lifted off safely.

Only when Space Shuttle Atlantis STS-112 will land tomorrow at Kennedy Space Center, investigators, with the orbiter back, will be able to determine exactly what went wrong, but he doesn't expect the problem to delay Endeavour's scheduled Nov. 10 launch.

We wait for an official press about a Soyuz TMA-1 delay. Maybe this will cause a delay of Endeavour STS-113 too.

Soyuz TM-34, now docked to the International Space Station, is scheduled to return back to the Earth on November 7 but problems found during this week can change scheduled missions.
