SuitSat-1 readied for deployment
NASA has a nice article on the SuitSat-1 experiment. http://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/station/main/index.html
Suit Sat visibility ?
With the deployment of Suit Sat just days away ISS is due to commence a series of visible morning passes over Europe.....so the question is , will we be able to see the suit too ?
The general opinion is ...Yes. . .although it will be quite faint so this will probably be a binocular object , magnitude 5 or 6.It will also move away from the station within hours of release.
If you have the right equipment why not try to image the two objects together in orbit.
My last attempts to video ISS were thwarted by bad weather. However I did manage to catch it on the evening of Jan 11 , in twilight.
